At Hamilton Road Dental Practice we are committed to providing the highest possible standard of care to our patients. We will work with you to manage your individual treatment needs.
We strongly believe in promoting good oral health, and time will be taken to advise you on how best to achieve this. For further information on this, and other dental topics, there are a series of online leaflets on the British Dental Health Foundation website, www.dentalhealth.org.uk
We provide a comprehensive list of NHS services.
More patients are interested in enhancing their smile and there are a number of treatment options available to help achieve this:
Tooth-coloured fillings
Traditional amalgam or silver fillings can be unsightly, particularly if near the front of the mouth. Tooth coloured fillings, where suitable, require less drilling of the tooth and can blend into the natural shade of your tooth.
Veneers
A veneer is a thin layer of porcelain made to fit over the front surface of a tooth. Veneers can improve the colour, shape and position of your teeth and often require very little drilling or preparation.
Crowns
A crown, or cap, is a restoration that covers all of your tooth and is used to preserve a heavily broken down or filled tooth. A number of metal free crowns are now available which can improve the aesthetics of your smile further.
Bridges
Missing teeth can be replaced by a bridge which is fixed in the mouth. This may be a favourable alternative to a small denture.
Tooth whitening
This is a non invasive way of brightening your smile, and great results can be achieved with minimal effort. At Hamilton Road Dental Practice, we recommend the home bleaching technique.
Dentures
Unlike the majority of dental practices, we have our own denture technician, Jim Kidd, who has over 30 years of experience. As a result, we can offer a number of services unique to our practice:
Cosmetic dentures – working closely with our technician enables us to provide you with natural looking dentures, custom made to suit your individual needs.
Same day repairs
Custom made sports mouthguards
Anti-snoring devices
